Response to Government announcement 30th July
In light of the Government’s announcement on Thursday 30th July, we want to reassure you that we have designed the layout of the gym, both indoors and outside to take into account the COVID-19 guidance of 2 metre social distancing for all at all times. This supports the official guidance of ‘you should take steps to ensure people do not interact with people they do not live with.’ We are working in six segregated zones of no more than five gymnasts and one coach. In these zones each gymnast works on their own mat 2 metres apart for the entire session. At the start of the session gymnasts and coaches are required to sanitise their hands on entry, hygiene points are set out in each zone so that sanitising can occur if a gymnasts touches their face, fingers in mouth etc. When a gymnast requires the use of the toilet a chaperone coach escorts them to and from the toilet and only one person uses the toilet at a time. After each use the toilet and all touch contact points are disinfected and thoroughly cleaned.
After each session all mats and surfaces used are sanitised and carpet areas hoovered in line with Government and British Gymnastics guidelines. Detailed logs are kept of cleaning regimes and attendance.
We will continue to be open until we receive any further information from the Government and British Gymnastics. We will, of course, review and adapt alongside the guidance given.
Please support us in this by maintaining your social distancing when outside the centre.
Re-opening from July 25th 2020
Thank you once again for your continued support. These last couple of months have been uncertain for us all.
The gym has been thoroughly cleaned and reorganised ready to safely re-open. We have been informed that we can re-open from the 25th July 2020. Currently, we are organising the re-opening. You should now have heard from us. We will outline our procedures and how to book your place. If you paid for course one your sessions will continue. We will also be taking new bookings (subject to availability.)
We have successfully been running an extensive at home programme for gymnasts at all levels and more recently some outdoor sessions. We have begun trialing small outdoor sessions (1 coach:5 gymnasts)
Our priority is to help support everyone staying safe and to offer gymnastic sessions to continue to develop, add enjoyment or just to offer some continuity and break up the days.
Please get in contact if you haven’t heard from us. For General class bookings from 25th July onward….. email email@example.com
Like many other organisations this closure will put a huge financial strain on the club. As a non for profit organisation & charity we thank you for your support during our closure.
We continue to miss our normal gym sessions with all of our gymnasts but are really enjoying the variety of contact we are having with you.
We continue to wish you and your families the best. Stay safe.
PLEASE KEEP CHECKING OUR FACEBOOK GROUP & WEB PAGE FOR INFORMATION WHIST WE ARE CLOSED
