JUST KEEP ZOOMING
During lockdown the club ran zoom sessions every day. Sessions catered for all gymnasts of the club. The sessions looked at keeping fitness and flexibility levels and working on BGA badges. Different events and challenges were held including: a 2.6 challenge, quiz night and a Tokyo challenge. Zoom sessions became quite a family affair – including our beloved pets!
Zoom sessions are still continuing to run alongside training in the gym. All welcome.

OUTDOOR SESSIONS
For 2 weeks we ran outdoor fitness and conditioning sessions. It was a great opportunity to see everyone again and continue to build shapes ready for the return into the gym.
A NEW GYM
Many hours were spent re-organising and cleaning the gym to develop a new COVID safe training area. Six separate zones have been created in the gym with all gymnasts using their own equipment 2 metres apart. Rigorous cleaning systems have been put in place during and between sessions.
Coaches attended a training day to learn about the new changes and to take part in our new coaching development program.
GENERAL CLASSES
General classes now run in 5 week blocks for a cost of £32.50. Each class is 45 minutes long to allow time for cleaning and to ensure social distancing measures can take place outside. Gymnasts queue up outside on coloured feet ready to enter the gym with a coach.
COURSE 1
Our first general class returned on Monday 27th July. It has been wonderful to see so many gymnasts return over this first course. Payments made before lockdown have been honoured for the 9 or 10 sessions owed starting from our re-opening. This period will continue to the end of September.
COURSE 2
Course 2 is due to begin from Monday 31st August. Information will be sent out w.c. 24th August. Spaces are filling quickly so make sure you book your place. New programs are currently being written and BGA badges will be awarded at the end of this course.

LOVE ADMIN
The club has invested in a new management system. Shortly all members will receive information about this. You will be able to renew your classes directly through this. There are lots of features that will enable us to give you more information about your child/ren.
COMING SOON -_WARRIOR GYM
We are excited to offer a new gym session – Warrior Gym. This class will incorporate a skills based gymnastic program mixed with climbing, jumping, acrobatics and obstacles. 45 minute sessions will run on a Saturday and/or Sunday starting from 5th September.
2.6 CHALLENGE
To honour the London Marathon we took part in a 2.6 challenge. Gymnasts carried out 26 conditioning exercise on over Zoom, coach and director Barry rode a bike dressed as Elvis, Nina walked 26 metres on her hands and Rachel completed a marathon on a cross trainer. Over £500 was raised. The money went towards our new vault run up and landing mats.
TOKYO
One of our many fundraisers during lock-down was a Tokyo Challenge. The aim was to collectively ‘travel’ the distance to Tokyo using non-motorised transport. All money raised will be used to purchase equipment to help develop new skills.
